Colours, light, the horizon, steep coasts and white sand. The air is salty and fresh with a blanket of peace across the vastness, the sea and the Bodden and Lagoon waters. These are the southern shores of the Baltic Sea. It is the other side of the Baltic Sea between Vorpommern in Germany, Born¬holm in Denmark, Zochodniopomorskie and Pomorskie in Poland, Kaliningrad in Russia and Klaipėda in Lithuania.
In more than 180 harbours sailors can find safe harbour facilities, from romantic or low key places to five-star marinas. Many harbours are located directly in the city, but often they are also close to the endless sandy beaches.
